ABOUT US

We are pleased to welcome Donna Kerns to the WV Promise Youth Alliance Inc. team as our new Outreach Coordinator, effective Monday, September 21, 2026.

In this role, Donna will work alongside the Executive Director to plan, direct, and coordinate outreach and engagement activities that strengthen the organization’s public image, expand community awareness, and build meaningful relationships and partnerships.

Donna’s responsibilities will include:

• Developing and establishing relationships with community organizations, businesses, sponsors, and other potential partners.

• Increasing awareness of WV Promise Youth Alliance Inc. through strategic marketing and outreach campaigns.

• Developing marketing materials and tools that effectively communicate our mission, programs, and impact.

• Supporting initiatives designed to increase organizational funding through grants, sponsorship commitments, fundraising campaigns, and special events.

• Managing the organization’s Mini-Grant Program.

• Providing support and coordination for the AmeriCorps program.

• Assisting with the planning and implementation of community outreach initiatives and organizational activities.

• Helping strengthen the organization’s visibility and engagement across social media and other marketing platforms.

Donna brings a diverse and valuable set of skills to her new position, including marketing, fundraising, strategic planning, clear communication, relationship building, professional writing, attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge of social media and other digital marketing platforms.

We are excited to have Donna join our team and look forward to the experience, creativity, and dedication she will bring to WV Promise Youth Alliance Inc. Her efforts will help us strengthen our community partnerships, expand our reach, increase funding opportunities, and further advance our mission of serving youth and our communities.
